Business tourism and entrepreneurship is a first year, first semester module in tourism studies. The module focuses on analysis of forms and processes of job creation within the tourism industry. It is quite an interesting module that will give students an understanding of the components of the tourism industry, and how to go about establishing different businesses that are found within the tourism industry.

The aim of the module is to provide students with knowledge and skills to start and manage their own small tourism related businesses. The module is aimed at building entrepreneurs and assist students studying business management.

It is importance to attend all lectures, participate in seminars, presentations and all other class activities that will be conducted during the semester. This will enable the students to understand and gradually develop the different skills that are needed in establishing and running tourism related enterprise.

 The key issues that this module focuses on are major tourism supply components, development of tourism products and tourism entrepreneurial planning processes.
