Welcome to the module URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND PLANNING MODULE (1DS503). This module explores strategies for planning
sustainable cities and towns in the unstable period of globalization of capital
in Africa. To this end, the module
covers three themes namely, Entrepreneurship, Local Economic Development and
Urban Development and Planning. Why three components. The intention is to expose students to as wide
body of knowledge as possible which deals with building local economies.
