Research Project is one of the Postgraduate Diploma in Recreation and Tourism (PDRT) modules offered in the Department of Recreation and Tourism. It is aimed at equipping students with the theoretical research knowledge and practical research skills. Students will work individually to design and conduct independent, qualitative and quantitative research. It is important at this level of study for students to appreciate the role of tourism research in the academia and industry. Research is not only done by academics, other researchers, and tourism business managers; they are also done by students. It is expected that you have acquired a prior knowledge of basic tourism research methods during your undergraduate studies.

This module has SAQA Credits of 30, offered at NQF Level 8, and requires 300 national hours of study (contact, field work, reports, and self-study).
