This course lays the foundation regarding human resource management as a discipline and a field of study. It prepares students about the importance of professionalism and confidentiality on discrete matters shared by employees. Students learn the basic human reource management functions; the laws that impact of human resource management in South Africa; recruitment and selections; induction/orientation/socialisation; compensation and benefits; performance management; health and safety in the workplace and motivation.
