The course is specifically designed for B. Com (Accounting Science ) students and is the first of two semester courses. It introduces students to the techniques and tools of management information systems. Coverage is given to the Information System, as it relates to the system’s concept, and their role in an organization; IT infrastructure with the focus on hardware and software, database technologies and telecommunications. Computer literacy will be focused on creating word documents, power point presentations, data management using databases and Web page development.
