• create an awareness and highlight the facts around Child Development
• encourage students to ponder the impact that Child Development has on the community and the learner specifically
• focus on various aspects of the development of infants, toddlers, young children and adolescents
• promote the responsible management of Child Development in the classroom and the school in general
