Introduction to Operations Research
4AMT322: NUMERICAL METHODS
The overall goal of Numerical Methods is to study algorithms that employ numerical approximation methods for solving mathematical problems. We essentially want to give approximate but accurate solutions to hard mathematical problems. To achieve this goal we will use results and methods from many areas of mathematics, particularly those of Advanced Calculus, Ordinary Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and Mathematical Modelling introduced in the second year.

4MTH221: ADVANCED CALCULUS
Welcome to the module 4MTH221/SMTH221. This module is designed to introduce students to Advanced Concepts of Calculus covering the following topics: series, vector functions, limits, differentiation and integration of functions of several variables.
This module requires the knowledge of differential calculus for functions of one variable assuming background knowledge of logic, general algebra, integration and differentiation. The pre-requisite modules are 4MTH111/SMTH111 and 4MTH112/SMTH112 or equivalent modules.
