Welcome to the (Farm Animal Anatomy and Physiology). This module serves to provide understanding of the anatomy and physiology of farm animals. You will be required to understand, identify, compare and contrast the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory, vascular, digestive, nervous, endocrine, urinary, reproductive, muscular and skeletal systems. It is offered in the third year of your degree so as to prepare you for the following courses, digestive physiology, animal reproduction and applied animal nutrition. This implies that we will be advancing your knowledge on the functioning of farm animals body compared to the knowledge you acquired in 4AAS211 and at high school level. To be able to do this course, the learner must have passed 4ZOL212 and SAAS211 that will facilitate their understanding of the different organs systems of farm animals.
