Business calculations 1B equips students with the skills to perform basic mathematical, financial and statistical calculations in the accounting, economics and business environment. The module has been developed specifically to provide learners with a firm and solid foundation in financial mathematics and statistics in a way that they will have a strategic advantage in more advanced modules in finance and statistics. Topics covered include simple and compound interest, annuities, perpetuities, data presentation, sampling methods, measures of central tendency and probability.

This is an introductory macroeconomics course that deals with the performance of the national and global economies. It is designed to equip learners with analytical skills and an understanding of basic macroeconomic theory and concepts.
